HIV / AIDS

More than 40 million people worldwide are currently infected with HIV/AIDS. AIDS has killed about 25 million people since it caught the world's attention in the early 1980.
In 2005:

• 4.9 million people were newly infected with HIV
• 3.1 million people died from AIDS complications

Abstaining from sex before marriage is the best protection against HIV/AIDS infection.
